Kate Amond, NP, is a UW Health Kids pediatric nurse practitioner specializing in pediatric cardiothoracic surgery (procedures for the heart and blood vessels). She cares for children and adults who need surgery for congenital heart conditions (problems that exist from birth). Kate treats a range of congenital heart conditions, including holes inside the heart and complex malformations where part of the heart has not developed correctly. She provides pre- and post-operative care as well as follow-up care.
