Emily Schumacher, NP, is a UW Health Kids nurse practitioner in developmental pediatrics. Emily cares for children with conditions that affect their mental or physical growth. These issues include autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), intellectual delays and other developmental issues. Her patients range from ages 2 to 21. Depending on the child's needs, Emily consults with pediatricians, speech and language pathologists, occupational therapists, behavioral psychologists, audiologists, nutritionists and social workers. Together, they create a care plan to address each child's needs and help manage their medication. She works to help each child learn, grow and reach their full potential.
