Emily Meyer, NP

Emily Meyer, NP, is a UW Health Kids nurse practitioner in pediatric neurosurgery. She cares for children throughout their entire surgical journey. Emily commonly sees patients who require surgery for hydrocephalus, spina bifida, spasticity and epilepsy. She has a special interest in treating children with movement disorders and patients who use a special pump to deliver muscle relaxant to the spinal cord. Emily puts her patients and their families first. She listens carefully and educates them on their conditions. Emily also helps manage any side effects to ensure that her patients are comfortable, especially after surgery. She makes sure surgical wounds are healing properly and that her patients have proper care at home after discharge.
