Whether it is a well-child visit, adult physical, acute illness or injury visit, my belief is that the focus should always be on the partnership between the patient and the provider. In doing so, I feel like I'm able to provide care beyond expectation because the patient's concerns and opinions are being heard and they are being given an active role in the development of the plan to improve their overall health. Another part of the medical visit that I enjoy is providing education to my patients and families, so they are able to leave with a good understanding of their diagnosis, treatment and the plan moving forward.
