Ashley Berka, NP, is a UW Health nurse practitioner in maternal-fetal medicine. She cares for women with high-risk pregnancies. Their pregnancies are high risk because either the mothers or their unborn babies have other health conditions, such as heart disease, diabetes, history of miscarriage, or multiple fetuses. Ashley's special interest is caring for women who suffer with preeclampsia (high blood pressure during pregnancy or shortly afterward). When Ashley cares for patients, she listens closely to their concerns. She provides expert education about their diagnoses and treatment plans and encourages open lines of communication. Her goal is to provide women with excellent prenatal care and help them deliver healthy babies.
