Kristy Leany, APRN, FNP-BC, received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southern Utah University and her Advanced Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). Kristy worked in critical care for two years, followed by fifteen years in emergency and trauma care. Shen then worked in cardiology for several years before opening her own primary care practice due to the lack of access for basic care in rural Mesquite, Nevada. In 2015 she won the Emergency Nurse of the Year award, and in 2017 she won the Dan Mordecai Award for her contributions in nursing to the Nevada community.
