Sonja D Brune, MSN, APRN, CCNS, CHFN, AACC, FHFSA, HF-Cert is a Heart Failure Practitioner trained to help manage heart failure in hopes of feeling better, whether or not heart function improves. Sonja has been practicing as a registered nurse in an intensive care unit in 1989, and quickly developed a love for everything related to heart disease. She began working for a cardiologist two years later and soon enrolled in the Master of Science in Nursing Degree program at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio where her training was in acute and critical-care of the adult with a primary study focus in heart failure.
