About

With over 25 years of experience in nursing, Laura Carvalho holistically prioritizes the individual health needs of the patients and families she serves. She has always wanted to make a difference in the lives of others, starting as a social worker and meeting the many psychological and social needs in communities. Her desire to help only grew as she became a nurse in public health, and then a nurse practitioner. Laura earned degrees in Psychology and Nursing from Baylor University and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Austin. She specializes in Family Practice, Women’s Health and Rheumatology. When Laura takes off her lab coat, she enjoys reading, pilates, traveling, hiking, and cooking gluten-free.
