Cloe Veldhuis, FNP, is a Family Medicine nurse practitioner, who chose a career in medicine because of the unique perspective her younger brother (who has special needs) provided on the importance of compassionate healthcare. Growing up, she saw the challenges he faced in getting proper care, and it opened her eyes to the gaps in the healthcare system for individuals like him. This experience inspired Cloe to build a career focused on providing empathetic, accessible care to underserved populations. Cloe is passionate about family medicine because, after eight years as a critical care nurse, she realized the importance of focusing on preventative care. Family medicine lets her help patients stay healthy before issues become critical.
