As a board-certified nurse practitioner at Beaufort Memorial Pulmonary Specialists, Shawna Nievierowski works with the practice's clinical team to prevent, diagnose and treat acute and chronic diseases and conditions of the respiratory system, including lung cancer screening and care coordination. In addition to seeing patients in the practice, she works in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Beaufort Memorial Hospital treating some of the most severely ill patients. Areas of Expertise - Asthma - A condition in which the airways become inflamed and constricted, causing excessive mucus production, wheezing and shortness of breath.
