Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: For me, the choice to purse this career was personal. I grew up in a family of women in healthcare and desired to be as strong, independent, and respected as they were. It is a career that has proven to be as challenging as it is rewarding and offers a lifetime of stability, diversity, growth and fulfillment. It is a privilege to care for the people in my community and help them to live their best and healthiest life possible. What I want my patients to know about me: I began my career working in Oncology for three years and then 12 years as a labor & delivery nurse before going back to school to be a nurse practitioner.
