Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: I have always enjoyed helping others. I had a family member who was a nurse and that inspired my decision to become a nurse. I was a nurse for 10 years before I decided to go back to school for nurse practitioner. During this time I cared for a lot of patients and enjoyed every minute of it. I decided to become a nurse practitioner because I wanted to be more involved with my patients care. I wanted to do more. What I want my patients to know about me: I enjoy taking care of families. It is always enjoyable to take care of children, their parents and at times their grandparents. I encourage all my patients to take part in their care.
