Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: I have always had a nurturing and caring personality. Coming from a medical family, medicine seemed like a great way to use my strengths to benefit others. Unfortunately, as a child, I had a lot of time to learn what it meant to be a patient. This time in my life was challenging, however, I was blessed to have some outstanding doctors. They made me feel heard, and through their actions, they showed me how important my health was to them. It is because of many of these providers, that I pursued medicine. It has been my goal in my career to become the type of doctor that I had as a child. What I want my patients to know about me: My medical career started out as an RN in an ER and trauma center.
