"Amy Leatherwood specializes in preoperative patient care and optimization. She has been a provider for 17 years, and enjoys working with patients to help them regain and retain good health. She takes an interest in meeting with patients feels that a supportive provider-patient relationship is essential to positive health outcomes. When she is not working with patients, Amy is a PhD student in the School of Nursing, working to bridge the gap between research and real-time clinical needs and experiences. She also stays busy with her three children and husband and all of their activities. Hiking, enjoying nature, and road trips are some of her favorite pastimes."
