Both my parents worked at the local hospital, so I grew up feeling entirely at home in a healthcare environment. I also grew up wanting to go into a helping profession - just as my parents did. \n When it comes to patient care, I search for the why behind the what. I don't just want to know what's going on with my patients; I want to understand what led to their current condition. And I want them to understand, too. My love for pathology means I am always searching for the missing piece of the puzzle. \n I started my career by earning a master's degree in nutrition and working at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital in Nashville.
