M. Carmela Evangelista is an Adult Nurse Practitioner specialized in diagnosing and treating orthopedic conditions primarily focused on lower extremities. Her journey into becoming a healthcare provider, while circuitous, contributes to the personal perspective she imparts and the ambience in each of her patient encounters. She is also an Assistant Professor of Nursing in the Columbia University School of Nursing at the Columbia University Medical Center.
