Westside Family Medicine is pleased to welcome James N Lauren (him/his) as an Adult Nurse Practitioner. He joined WFM from Callen-Lorde, where he was chosen from a competitive national pool of applicants for the highly regarded Keith Haring Nurse Practitioner Postgraduate Fellowship in LGBTQ+ Health Fellowship. He previously worked at Northwell Health, Lennox Hill Hospital, where he was seen as a leader who worked to improve staff education and patient experience by setting up the first multidisciplinary LGBTQIA+ “Expressions Council” in the hospital. He is an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, and before entering the world of health care, he worked as an artist/bartender.
