Matthew Franco is a Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner and First Assist with extensive clinical training in cardiology, cardiovascular surgery and pulmonary/critical care. He is currently trained as first assist in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery, including coronary artery bypass grafting and valve repair/replacement. In the post-operative period, he develops the medical plan of care for patients as they arrive in the ICU and continue their management through clinic follow-ups after discharge.
