Even as a young child, Ashlie Teixeira-Smith understood that she wanted to spend her life helping others improve their health. Today, as a pain management nurse at Sierra Neurosurgery Group, Ashlie is putting her compassion and skill to good use. Ashlie began her career as a registered nurse working in trauma and surgical intensive care. While she loved the complexity and challenge of that critical care environment, she wanted to do even more for her patients. She went back to school to earn her Nurse Practitioner certification in 2011 then worked in family medicine before joining Sierra Neurosurgery Group.
