Melissa Carter, FNP-C, is a certified nurse practitioner who specializes in general otolaryngology (ENT) for patients ages 18 and older. She commonly treats voice concerns; muscle tension dysphonia; dysphagia; acid reflux; rhinitis; sinusitis; vocal cord paralysis; and vocal cord lesions, polyps, and disorders. She also performs various procedures including cerumen (earwax) removals; laryngoscopies; nasal endoscopies; stroboscopies; and microscopic ear exams. Melissa strives to have a meaningful impact on her patients' lives, providing evidence-based care and ensuring they feel seen and heard. Melissa works collaboratively with physicians in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
