As a hospitalist, Andrew Blaes, AGACNP, focuses exclusively on providing and coordinating care for hospitalized patients. “The ability to care for someone during an episode of an acute, critical illness is a great honor,” Blaes said. “I enjoy caring for hospitalized patients and seeing them improve to the point they are able to return home to their loved ones.” Blaes follows his patients’ tests and treatments while they are in Lake Regional Hospital and then, when they are discharged, he transitions patients’ care to their regular providers. He does not have office hours.
