What I Do I chose family practice because I enjoy caring for the whole family, from infancy to the elderly. In my practice, I combine clinical expertise with an emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention. I work collaboratively with physicians and specialty providers as needed to help my patients manage their health conditions. My goal is for patients to feel they have been treated with respect and received the care they need. My areas of interest include pediatrics, well-child exams and acute care. Why I Love My Work. I come from a long line of nurses and I was always interested in the different health care roles that nurses can assume. I have worked in hospitals, home care and public health.
