Emily Schmitt, DNP, FNP-C, is an interventional radiology nurse practitioner with the UP Health System – Marquette Heart & Vascular Center. An Upper Peninsula native, she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Michigan and, following school, worked as a registered nurse in the Family Birthing Center and Emergency Department at UP Health System – Marquette. Emily then decided to further her medical education by earning her Doctorate of Nurse Practice from Montana State University in Bozeman, MT. Prior to rejoining UP Health System, Emily worked as a nurse practitioner in Wasilla, AK, as well as Suttons Bay, MI.
