Geneva is a Certified Nurse Practitioner who transitioned to dermatology after developing a passion for wound care while working as a bedside nurse at the University of Maryland. Geneva is certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and licensed through the Maryland Board of Nursing. She earned a bachelor of science in applied mathematics and statistics and a Master of Science in Nursing from Johns Hopkins University. She also earned a Post-Master certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Georgetown University. She is a member of the Nurse Practitioner Society of the Dermatology Nurses Association, and Nurse Practitioner Association of Maryland.
