Carlos Barrero, DNP, is a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in family medicine at MedStar Health Primary Care at Dundalk Professional Center. His areas of clinical interests include diagnosis and treatment of chronic diseases (arthritis, diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and asthma), diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted infections, and LGBTQ+ care. Carlos speaks English and Spanish. “My philosophy of care delivery focuses on a holistic approach to health care. I recognize that my patient’s physical, mental, cultural and social well-being are fundamental components of wellness.
