Mary Skinner, MSN, DNP, AGNP-C

About

Mary Skinner, MSN, DNP, AGNP-C, graduated from University of Louisville with her bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) in 2001. Caring for older adults was a passion she found while working as a registered nurse (RN) in long-term care (LTC) and long-term acute care (LTAC) settings. She returned to University of Louisville to obtain her MSN in geriatrics and was certified as a nurse practitioner (NP) in 2008. Mary has spent the past 15 years working in long-term care, subacute rehabilitation, house calls and geriatric chronic disease management in primary care. She pursued her DNP at University of Kentucky in 2015 to educate NP students on caring for older adults and navigating the unique environment in nursing homes.
