Melissa Matzek, APRN, AGNP-C, is a certified adult-gerontology nurse practitioner with AdventHealth Medical Group Neurology at Shawnee Mission. With nearly two decades of experience caring for patients at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission, Melissa has served in various clinical roles in the heart, neurology and vascular unit and she also worked in the emergency department. Melissa earned her master of science in nursing from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. In addition to being an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN), she is also a progressive care certified nurse. She has earned a number of honors for nursing excellence from community organizations and from AdventHealth Shawnee Mission.
