Jill Braun is following a path that started when she was a child. “I just had a calling for as long as I remember. Even when I was little, I knew I wanted to be a nurse or be in healthcare,” Braun said. First she became a nurse, working with long-term heart patients on the road to recovery. That’s where she decided that she wanted to do more. “I worked in cardiac rehab for a lot of my career. Just working with the patients that had so many health problems on top of their heart disease, trying to help them meet their personal goals, it made me realize I really enjoyed that one-on-one patient relationship and that's what pushed me toward primary care,” Braun said.
