Emily Stephenson, PMHNP, is certified in psychiatry by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. "At a very young age, I was obsessed with watching medical shows. Medicine was so fascinating to me. Later in life, I had many loved ones who required medical attention, and it was eye-opening the difference a caring healthcare worker could make on the life of their patient and their patient's loved ones. Once in nursing school, I fell in love with mental health, and a few years ago when I decided to start advancing my nursing career, I decided I would focus my studies in that specific area. My mother inspires me through her amazing work ethic and the support she has given me throughout my life.
