Smithamol Thomas is an advanced practice registered nurse, certified family nurse practitioner and chief nurse executive at the Orlando Health Digestive Health Institute in downtown Orlando. She works alongside gastroenterologists, and her specialties include Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, gastroesophageal reflux disease, colon cancer and gastritis. Smithamol has more than 20 years of experience. She received her training in general nursing and midwifery at Caritas School of Nursing in India, her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix and her master’s in nursing with a specialization in family nurse practitioner studies at South University in Savannah, Georgia.
