Born in Oklahoma and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Florida State University before completing both her Master of Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of Miami. Melissa is an Associate of the American College of Cardiology and serves as a sub-investigator with the AdventHealth Research Institute, contributing to groundbreaking advancements in cardiovascular health.
