Melisa Wilson, DNP, ACNP,APRN-BC, is an acute care nurse practitioner specializing in pulmonary hypertension. She has been working with patients with pulmonary hypertension since 2006. At AdventHealth she is the Pulmonary Hypertension Program Coordinator and the Advanced Lung Disease Institute Clinical Operations Director. In 2015, Melisa was the recipient of the Pulmonary Hypertension Association's Periwinkle Pioneer Award,presented to practitioners responsible for advancing care for pulmonary hypertension patients and helping to change the history of the disease. She received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Duke University in Durham, NC in 2020.
