Betsy Hinrichsen, MSN, MA, PMHNP-BC, is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She treats adolescents and adults with a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, substance use disorder and bipolar disorder. Betsy has always felt drawn to professions that contribute directly to others’ health and well-being. Previously, she worked with at-risk youth in juvenile justice and alternative education settings. There, she became acutely aware of how important our mental health is in leading a satisfying, fulfilled life. This experience inspired her to become a nurse practitioner focused in psychiatry.
