I am an APRN with Washington Regional Palliative and Supportive Care, a specialized service for inpatients of the hospital with serious illnesses. These services are focused on providing patients with relief from the symptoms, pain, and stress of a serious illness—whatever the diagnosis. The goal of palliative and supportive care is to improve quality of life through management of troubling symptoms as well as providing emotional and spiritual support. Services are offered by a multidisciplinary care team including doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers and chaplains to address needs you or your family may experience.
