Haleigh Shumate, CPNP, has worked for UAMS Health in the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Department at Arkansas Children's since 2018. She practices at Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock where she works as an inpatient consultant assisting with the management of infectious diseases in the pediatric population. Her clinical interest include improving vaccination rates, HSV in the neonate, and Kawasaki disease. Prior to joining the Infectious Diseases section she worked in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Arkansas Children's as a Registered Nurse for five and half years.
