Stephanie Starnes is a family nurse practitioner with a special interest in women’s health issues. As long as she can remember, Starnes wanted to be a nurse, but her time spent as an Army medic in Iraq left her with the desire to do more. “The skills and experience that I encountered during that time really cemented my desire to go to school for nursing and reach for a higher goal of one day becoming a nurse practitioner,” she said. Always striving to help her patients with health and wellness needs, Starnes focuses on patient-centered care. She values teamwork when it comes to making health care decisions and hopes to empower her patients to ask questions freely so they can take steps toward a healthy lifestyle.
