Raquel Castro is a nurse practitioner who works hard to establish a trusting, compassionate relationship with her patients. “I want patients to feel comfortable that I have their best health interest in mind and will work as their partner to obtain the best health status possible,” she said. Castro believes that establishing this type of relationship with a patient is paramount to good health care. “My goal is to help patients stay healthy and have good quality of life,” she said. “When relationships with patients are open and honest, it allows me to provide resources and guidance to prevent illness and it allows me to better care for patients if they become ill.”
