About

Naomi Maakestad is a family nurse practitioner with a special interest in preventative medicine in rural communities. Prior to her start in family medicine, she worked as a nurse in a Level 1 trauma center and in critical care. She also has more than two decades of mission experience including traveling to Africa, Guatemala, Mexico and Columbia to provide care to those in need. Providing high quality and accessible care to people is Maakestad’s passion. “More than 20 years of caring for patients in times of crisis and emergency has instilled a deep desire to care for people earlier and focus on intervention and prevention through family medicine.
