Kathryn Steinheber is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who likes to develop a sense of holistic care with patients, empowering them to share non-medical concerns that may ultimately affect their health. She believes that establishing care with a primary care provider is a key component to achieving and maintaining good health. “Establishing with a PCP allows the clinician to get to know the individual at a baseline status so that when they are ill, it is easier to differentiate the person’s abnormal findings versus their normal variants,” Steinheber said.
