Heather Waters is a family nurse practitioner who believes that being a good listener is an important aspect of providing primary care. “I listen to my patients and provide a safe, supportive ear,” she said. “This builds a strong and trusting foundation to work from. I believe in working together to make realistic and achievable health goals.” Waters spent a decade as a bedside nurse, caring for surgical patients (before and after surgery), women’s care patients and those undergoing special procedures. These experiences inspired her to go into primary care.
