Arely Valdez-Perez is a nurse practitioner who ensures honesty, respect and compassion are the pillars of her practice. She wants patients to feel empowered and comfortable talking about their medical needs. “I want them to know I have their best interest at heart and will work hard to help them achieve their goals,” she said. “I want my patients to know I will deliver evidence-based care tailored to their specific needs and will always treat them as an individual and not just a patient.” Valdez-Perez believes that the lack of preventive care and access to health care is one of the biggest health risks facing Southern Arizonans. Her hope is to help mitigate these issues through her primary care practice.
