Since June 2016, Nurse Practitioner Leslie Locklear has been serving patients at PHMG Primary Care. She has an impressive list of credentials after her name along with a graduate degree in nursing from Yale. Having spent her early years here in Ketchikan, after graduating, she chose to return to Ketchikan, spending three years at Ketchikan Indian Community Tribal Health Clinic as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She was especially pleased to have the opportunity to return here as she fulfills a federal grant agreement that exchanged an educational opportunity for service in rural health. At KIC she not only cared for the variety of patient needs but provided clinical diabetes management and education at weekly specialty clinics.
