Mrs. Pugh is a graduate of the University of Mobile where she received a Bachelor of Science in nursing. While earning her undergraduate degree, she was elected and served as president of the Student Nurses Association and spearheaded health fairs to promote community health awareness. After graduation, she was employed at Mobile Infirmary in the surgical intensive care unit and received valuable experience in caring for patients with acute life-threatening medical conditions. She also completed a dual degree and received a Master's of Science in nursing as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner/Clinic Nurse Specialist. She received extended training in transplant nephrology.
